As we bring Black History Month to a close, 
KCACwould like to show appreciation to all those who attended our events and we trust that over the past month you have gained more knowldege about Black History! Moreover, we hope you all enjoyed the turn up at Fresher's On The Block last week! It was truly a great night and we'd like to thank you all for attending. Make sure to find us on Facebook and tag yourself and your friends having a great time.  

After a weeks break, KCACS  have a plethora of events which are guaranteed to make you excited! Novemeber is an exciting month for us and to kick it off, we have the third and final of our trilogy of Black History Month talks! 

There are several opportunities this month for you to get involved! We are looking for:
  • Contestants for Take Me Out 2015
  •  Choreographers for Culture Shock 2015 
  •  Candidates for Freshers and Graduate representatives.

On Thursday 5th November Black History walks provide the talk "400 Years of Black Women Resistance Leaders ". This is sure to be a capitvating and insightful talk on the vital roles black women have played in history and therefore we look forward to seeing you there!

Black History Month Talk 3
WHAT: 400 Years of Black Women Resistance Leaders  Black History Walks presents visual and biographical details of Black women from the UK and around the world who have resisted colonialism and racism . Women do not get the historical credit they deserve. This interactive presentation will give the audience video and documentary evidence of the who, what and why of over 30 female fighters who used any means necessary to fight for equallity.

Bianca Miller "Rise To Success"
WHAT: 
KCL ACS Present a talk by The Apprentice Runner up Bianca Miller 
Miss Bianca Miller; Founder & Managing Director of both 'The Be Group' and 'Bianca Miller London' and 2014 BBC Apprentice Finalist will be joining us to talk about her experience running multiple businesses, being a celebrity entrepreneur and her journey to achieving her goals.

WHAT:  The Laugh out Loud Comedy Show presents Sweet Laughs!

Cultureshock Acts
WHAT:  CULTURESHOCK IS COMING! For those of you who do not yet know, every year at the end of February, we do a huge Culture Show for Charity that keeps selling out! And this year we want you to take part! 

We are now looking for individuals or groups whowould like to have an ACT in our show. This includes but is not limited to: Dance Choreographers, Fashion Designers/Show Choreographers...whatever it is, we want it.

KCL ACS Representatives
We are recruiting fresher representatives and post graduate representatives to join the committee! Your role would be to create a bridge between the main society, freshers and post graduates. 
Here at KCACS we're all about reaching the wider audience and YOU can help us achieve that! We believe that input from both our freshers and post graduates will allow our society to be inclusive and strong!

Food in the Caribbean is based on mostly African, Spanish, Chinese, and East Indian, but generally are crossovers of the cuisines from the rest of the world. Spices, peppers and many different types of herbs (seasonings) are heavily used to prepare most meals.
